"The Euro Vets series paid a visit to East Park Wolves today.
A load of "old" guys battling it out with old rivals. Some of these epic battles go back decades.
It's more than that, of course.
Friendships are renewed. Aches and pains are temporarily forgotten, till tomorrow, and the adrenaline begins to flow!
What it does do of course, is confirm, that cycle speedway is unique.
You can batter each other for fifty plus years, but that respect for each other is unbreakable.
Over the coming months the sport will be going through a vital time in it's history.
The opportunity has arrived when we become more "hands on" with the running of the sport. More autonomy from B C . The sport needs committed and reliable people to step forward and help preserve "our" sport.
The future is in our hands."
